Loving is the highest mode of valuing, preferring. But it’s not a state of being.

The first thing you learn in life is you’re a fool. The last thing you learn is you’re the same fool. Sometimes I think I understand everything. Then I regain consciousness.

There are so many things I would tell you
if I thought that you would listen
and so many more you would tell me
if you believed I would understand.
